Raw Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
How is it Made?
First the fresh coconuts are opened and grated. Then the grated coconut is dehydrated at low temperatures, drying the coconut into fresh, crisp flakes. These flakes are then "pressed" to yield a delicious oil that also contains many of the nutrients and flavors of the fresh coconut. This oil is a bit cloudy because of the proteins and other components it contains, so it is then lightly filtered to remove particles of larger size.
This coconut oil has a stronger coconut flavor and minute traces of the soluble constituents extracted from the dried coconut meat. This cold pressed oil remains raw throughout the process and results in a delightfully pure oil, likely to be a favorite of those who love to eat coconut oil right off the spoon.
Packaged in a reusable half pint glass container.
The major differences between this Cold Pressed coconut oil and our Expeller Pressed coconut oil are:
•This Cold Pressed Coconut Oil has experienced no heat during processing, so it is raw.
•The Cold Pressed Coconut Oil has a mild, smooth, and subtle coconut taste.
